Review - Dial Frozen Yogurt Cooling Body Wash

Welcome back to my blog everybody! For my third post, I decided that I'd go ahead and do a product review. About a week and a half ago, I bought the Dial Frozen Yogurt Cooling Body Wash. Since then, I've been using it every time I get in the shower. I thought I'd go ahead and share my thoughts with ya'll!

I picked this up at Walmart, so you can get it at any drugstore. I decided to give this a shot because I haven't used a drugstore shower gel in years. For so long - like most girls, I'm sure - I used Bath & Body Works shower gels. I figured this one would be awesome to try because being as it is summer and very hot, something that is supposedly cooling when you use it would feel amazing.

I gotta say, I was right in my decision (and the product wasn't lying when it says it's cooling). However, it took me until the second try to figure out that it really is cooling. The first night I used it, I had had my bathroom window open, so it was kind of hard to tell. Even so, it made me feel even more cool when the window was open. The second time I used it, I closed the window. It still felt cooling when I did that. It felt so awesome being as it has been so hot lately here in Colorado.

Ironic, because we've also had lots of rain and thunderstorms. This state needs to make up its mind!

But anyways... This stuff smells sooo good! If you like frozen yogurt, or just yogurt in general, you'll love the scent of this stuff. The only thing I have against it is this: the scent is pretty strong when you're using it. Still, that's only a small thing and not a huge deal. I've actually started getting used to it, so it doesn't really bug me too much now.

Overall, this product is pretty great. My skin feels great when I get out of the shower after using it. Plus, like I said, the cooling effect feels fantastic (especially when it's super hot). If you're looking for an inexpensive body wash, I would recommend this right now.

Hope you all found this post helpful and informative. I'll talk to you in my next post!

EOTD - June 23rd, 2015 & Update!

Hey everyone!

I want to start this next post by getting something out of the way. In my first post, I said that I would be posting only once a week. However, what I did not specify is that that would be worst case scenario, i.e. I'm busy with school, work, etc. Therefore, if I'm able to post more than once a week, I will. With that being said, I want to get into the point of this quick post...

It's my EOTD! If you don't already know what that means, it means eye of the day. So makeup-wise, what you have on for that day. So, here's what I had on yesterday...

You will find that I typically like to keep my makeup very natural looking, with the exception of special occasions. Obviously, from the picture, you can see that it was no special occasion, but just me going to school, haha.

So, I kept it very natural on my face as you can tell (I had put on bronzer and a cream blush, but unfortunately it came off throughout the day). With my brows, I used my NYX brow gel in Chocolate. This stuff is awesome if you want to do something quick with your brows! I highly recommend it.

For my eyes, I had used my Maybelline Age Rewind concealer as my eye primer. I used the color Bootycall in the Naked 2 palette and used that to cover my entire lid, up to my brow bone, and my inner corners. Then, I used my Sephora liquid liner pen to draw a thin line on my upper lash line. Finally, I used one coat of Ulta's Twisted Volume mascara on my top and bottom lashes.

That's it for this EOTD! Leave me a comment letting me know what you'd like to see from me in the future. If you'd like, follow me on Twitter and Instagram (the information will be at the end of this post). Once more of you start reading my blog, I'll create a Facebook page for you to follow me on as well.

Thanks for reading, and talk to ya'll next time!

Welcome! + Mini Haul

Hey everyone! Welcome to my blog. My name is Ashley, and I live in Colorado in the US of A. I love fashion, beauty, and Jesus (among many other things, but we'll get to all of that over time).

I wanted to begin this blog with a mini haul. I went shopping on June 22nd after work - I was waiting for rush hour traffic to die down - and ended up walking into Victoria's Secret and Bath and Body Works, two of my favorite stores!

Here is what I ended up getting:

From Bath and Body Works, I got one of the 3-wick candles (these babies discounted are amazing!) in the scent Home. It smells so incredible and relaxing! I also got two car scents, which I got in Beautiful Day and Watermelon Lemonade. The last one isn't pictured because I already put it in my car, hehe.

I also went into Victoria's Secret, where I found a miniature of the scent Very Sexy - which smells so good - and a lip stain in the shade Forever Yours. It's a bit of a corally red. I can't wait to wear these!

That's about it for this first post. I apologize that it isn't that long. Stay tuned, because I will be trying to update this blog at least once or twice a week.

See ya'll next week!

Update: I used the Victoria's Secret perfume today, June 23rd, and I should warn you know that it is actually pretty oily. Once I sprayed it on my wrists, it just felt oily and kind of gross. However, it did not stay that way. Unfortunately, the scent didn't last all day though. If you know how to make your perfumes last all day, send me a comment!
